Volunteer in Community

You're invited to experience
a unique approach to spiritual growth

The Volunteer in Community program is an opportunity to deepen your appreciation for prayer, hospitality, justice and care for the earth.

If you are a single woman between the ages of 20 and 45, Benedictine Women of Madison invites you to continue your spiritual journey and care for the earth on the grounds of Holy Wisdom Monastery. Find satisfaction in helping to continue environmental restoration and maintenance on our prairie, oak savanna, woodland and wetland areas. Experience a sense of connection through shared work, meals, dialogue and prayer as you are welcomed into an ecumenical monastic community. Explore your spirituality through private reflection on your own beliefs as well as discussion with people of different faiths, backgrounds and generations.

Stay with us for two weeks or up to six months, anytime between May 1 and October 31. Room and board are free.

For more details, contact Jerrianne Bland at 608-836-1631, ext. 158, jbland@benedictinewomen.org.
