Volunteer at Community Workday on May 22, 2010

Individuals and groups are invited to share their time and talents at the monastery. Our work is possible because of the hundreds of volunteers who join us in caring for the earth and supporting spiritual growth for seekers from around the world.

Volunteers in Community spend extended periods of time living at Holy Wisdom Monastery. Single women between the ages of 20 and 50 live in community for two weeks or more during the summer. Environmental volunteers help preserve the natural environment at Holy Wisdom Monastery. Whether you come to a volunteer event, volunteer alone or with a group to help, we appreciate your interest and support. Depending on the season and the amount of time you have to offer, you might pick apples, split logs, prune bushes, collect seeds or maintain nature trails. Program volunteers support the work of the community. You might prepare mailings, photograph events, do data entry, help with event planning or organize projects. Ambassadors help spread the word about the community and its ministry. Ambassadors receive updates from us and are asked to share fliers, talk to people about the community and monastery activities, invite people to visit Holy Wisdom Monastery and gather to plan ambassador activites.
