Spirituality of the Land: Art Exhibit

Download flyer about exhibit

Benedictine Women of Madison hosts an art exhibit combining the poetry of Michael E. Belongie and the landscape and wildlife paintings of Jonathan Wilde from February 12 - March 20, 2010. The exhibit is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; Wednesdays from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm and Saturdays from 1:00-4:00 pm at the new sustainable Holy Wisdom Monastery, 4200 County Highway M, Middleton, WI.

Jonathan Wilde
Wilde's oil paintings are a keen observation of the natural world. Throughout his career, he has shared a connection with the wooded hills and river valleys of the northern United States, and the pastoral landscapes of the Midwest. His connection with nature can also be seen in his depiction of animals in their natural habitat.

Michael E. Belongie
Belongie is a poet and educator. He has served as president of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets and won the congressional Teaching of Excellence Award twice. Michael is also a long-time environmental volunteer in the restored prairie at Holy Wisdom Monastery in Middleton, WI.

Download an order form for Michael's latest book of poem. Proceeds to benefit the Holy Wisdom Monastery building campaign.
