Weaving prayer, hospitality, justice and care of the earth into a shared way of life.

Liturgy of the Hours

The Liturgy of the Hours is a public expression of the Benedictine call to seek God in community. The heart of this prayer is the sung and recited psalms which give us confidence to speak boldly and honestly to God about all aspects of life.

In addition, there are hymns, readings from Scripture and other writings and intercessory prayer. There are also times of silence. The Liturgy of the Hours is prayed in the monastery oratory. For more information about Liturgy of the Hours, contact Lynn Lemberger at llemberger@benedictinewomen.org or 608-836-1631, ext 138.
